About
A wooden cottage in Barouk
The Valley Cottage has welcomed guests in Barouk, in the Chouf, since 2020. It is a wooden A-frame on its own terraced plot on the Beit Ed Dine road, looking across the valley, with a garden, an olive tree, a pool and a pergola lounge outside, and a wood stove, a jacuzzi and a loft bedroom under the roof inside.
It is one cottage, booked by the night, so while you are here the whole place is yours: the fire pits in the evening, breakfast by the pool in summer, the stove going when the snow comes in winter.

Some of the evenings in these pictures were planned weeks ahead: a birthday table under the stars, a proposal on the lawn with the path lit by candles.
If you are coming to celebrate something, write it in the note when you book or send us a message on WhatsApp, and we will talk through what we can set up before you arrive.

Good to know
How much is a night?
$180 a night from Sunday to Thursday, and $220 for Friday and Saturday nights. The calendar on this page shows the price of every night and adds up your stay before you book.
What time is check-in and checkout?
Check-in is from 2pm, and when you book you tell us roughly when you will arrive. Checkout is by 12 noon on the day you leave.
How do I hold my dates?
Pick your nights and book, then send a 30% deposit by Whish. The booking page shows the exact amount and the number to send it to, and the dates are yours once it arrives. The rest is settled at the cottage.
Can you set something up for a birthday or a proposal?
Yes, we have done both. Write it in the note when you book, or message us on WhatsApp, and we will plan it with you.
Is it open in winter?
Yes. Barouk gets real snow, and the cottage has a wood stove and a jacuzzi for exactly that. Winter weekends go early.
How many people can stay, and what is included?
Send us a message on WhatsApp with how many of you are coming and what you have in mind, and we will tell you exactly what the cottage has ready for you.
